Baby monitors are monitoring systems to keep tabs on your baby by listening or viewing your baby over a screen with the aid of a camera. It thus gives you the freedom to move around your house while still watching your baby. So you can now be alert all the time to the needs of your baby, when s/he is crying or sleeping.
This is a fairly new invention but cheaper rates and enhanced accessibility is making baby monitors increasingly popular with millions of families around the world as a convenient way to take care of their babies. These are available with different levels of mobility. The base is usually plugged into the wall somewhere near to your baby or you can even buy a mobile monitor which you can carry from room to room. Most of these monitors are light and portable anyway. Multiple Monitors are also available these days so that both the parents can monitor baby sounds separately using one as a back-up monitor with more than one receiver.
You can even view your baby via webcast. For family members such as grandparents away from the babies, these can be emotional moments constructed over the screen. With certain baby monitors, you can talk to your baby, play music for her/him and then delightfully watch her/his reactions. In fact, when you’re away from your baby, you can use the baby monitor to transmit your voice over to your baby to help her/him calm down. When your baby is old enough to talk back to you, you can have sweet little talks with her/him. Other features that can be great fun in terms of playing with your baby can include remote controls and musical monitors.
The quality of your monitor will determine the kind of reception you would get, although most monitors are designed for optimal performance. Some popular models are ‘Graco Ultra Clear Monitor’ and ‘Graco Family Listen N Talk Monitor.’ Other models like the DaisyCamâ„¢ is a beautifully designed fun baby monitor with clear TV transmission and crystal clear sound and rechargeable batteries. Some baby monitors such as the Angel care monitor with their under-the-mattress Sensor Pad can track every movement your baby makes, even the breathing rate. So with baby monitors, your baby is always safe under your supervision, even while you are not physically close to him/her.
